Great Strides for a Great Cause...

I participated in the Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis this past Saturday on team Reeverse cf! It was a wonderful experience - sun, friends, a little bit of excercise and helping out a great foundation working on finding a cure for this horrible disease. I am proud to say that the Daytona Beach Great Strides Walk raised over $18,000 to help find a cure! I will definitely be participating next year!

May is Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month. Approximately 30,000 children and adults have CF in the United States and the disease occurs in one of every 3,500 live births of all Americans and about 1,000 new cases of cystic fibrosis are diagnosed each year. I am by no means a runner, so I was not one of the participants who ran the 5k walk...instead I took photos :)
